The retail grocery chain was facing new competitors in the market place and needed to look at ways to reduce costs, improve operations across the company and attract customers.
A strategic initiative sponsored by the CEO and the executive team was implemented and led by Kogawa. This involved an innovative and holistic approach to review and redesign the entire organization’s administrative, business and operational practices.
Kogawa provided the facilitation, Business Process methodology and objectivity; while drawing out the business knowledge and experience from internal management and employees. This collaborative approach involved all levels of the organization. A cross-functional team was established and trained on Kogawa’s methodology to participate in the project and to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement.
The processes for the entire operations, including head office and all the retail stores, were identified and redesigned. Based on the strategic direction and priorities of the company, significant improvements were made. This included increased productivity, streamlined processes, improved customer service, increase in customer base, and millions of dollars of savings.
